Fighting Words: How Arab and American Journalists Can Break Through to Better Coverage

dfsdf

This book, funded by the Carnegie Corporation, grew out of a conference that brought together Arab and American reporters and editors in 2005. They discussed their differences and common ground with the goal of improving coverage on all sides.

I compiled material from the conference, from research, and from interviews with journalists, and wrote most of the chapters. The book includes chapters on religion, stereotypes, use of inflammatory words, and the dangers of reporting in conflict zones.
